🌟 Exciting News from REHAU New Ventures! 🚀 💡 inio has a new owner!💡

Well, whats the story behind?

⏱ Throwback: Driven by the idea and sparked by the belief that "Everyone has the right to good light at home," our vision materialized into a market-ready product. The inio one daylight lamp was born. We transformed a smart concept into reality at warp speed, proving that Human Centric Light is a captivating field to innovate in.

🚨 In 2023, we decided to sell inio and stop our New Ventures activities. Why? Well, we still believe that Human Centric Light is still worth to innovate in and there is a huge potential. However we realized it's time for inio to thrive in new horizons beyond our scope, being sure that another harbour is necessary to scale outside of New Ventures.

🌐 We found a perfect match in Landwehr Schultz Trafo GmbH, a powerhouse in electronics, who fell in love with inio and is now set to share it with the world. So we were able to sell the inio brand and all associated assets belonging to.

🌍  In the last four weeks that we have been running the inio New Ventures business, 150+ units found homes, signaling a positive market response. Good moment to pass to Landwehr Schultz Trafo GmbH, confirming our strategic market assessment. Kudos to the team for their dedication and support!

💡 Takeaway #No 2 💡 as a follow up on the WhatAVenture - Corporate Venture Builder study "The state of Corporate Venture Building".

How do companies set up venture building in their organizations?

👉54% of study participants have chosen to establish a dedicated venture building unit or team, while 43% have executed one or more stand-alone venture building projects.

So, more than 50% of the study participants established dedicated teams for doing innovation and building new business models. Also the REHAU Group decided to set up REHAU New Ventures as an independent subgroup.

Why? Well, most importantly it is about full focus, flexibility, speed and operational autonomy: "Aiming to surpass the lengthy approval processes and gain the speed required for the validation and scaling of ventures".

It is not about thinking negatively about well established corporate processes and enterprise systems, it is just about getting the freedom to do it different according to the needs of a venture unit. 💪
