Last week Valentin, one of our UNLIMITED X team members, participated in the 3rd Design Thinking Summit in Berlin. Here are his top 3 key take-aways:

+ Design Thinking is decided top-down but needs to be applied buttom-up for it to work, according to Emil Begovic from Lufthansa. Absolutely crucial in his opinion: Top management commitment

+ According to Arielle Blattner from Google it is extremely important to invest a lot in research in the very first stages when empathizing with your customers

+ One of the biggest challenges design thinkers are facing is bridging the gap between coporates and the innovation units, Jesper Jul Mørch from Nordea shared with the audience

Overall, the speakers agreed that successfull design thinkers need to spend more time in the problem space, before entering the solution space
