Fast charging technologies for E-Mobility, Smart Home application for air quality determination, methods for converting C02 into Carbon Nano Tubes and other interesting startup pitches were presented the TechFounders Demo Day #6. Our UNLIMITED X team was invited and had an inspiring day and many interesting discussions with the founders of those different startups. TechFounders is an accelerator program, iniitiated by UnternehmerTUM. Startups are supported over a determined timeline with expertise. At the end of the program, the Startups have the possibility to present their business models to industrial companies. THX TechFounders for the invitation!

What does Dr. Sebastian Fischer (Chief Data Officer, Deutsche Telekom),  Matthias Patz (Vice President Innovation & New Ventures , DB Systel GmbH) and Heiko Butz (Founder of koakult GmbH) have in common with our team member Kaare Kristiansen? They all met the alumni meeting of their master’s program of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at the Technische Universität Berlin last week, hosted by the initiator of this study programme Prof. Dr. Jan Kratzer. Interesting speeches about challenges of internal innovation processes, insights into interesting business models and inspiring networking talks made it a great event.

As an innovation lab we asked ourselves: “How could we shape the future of REHAU together with all our employees globally?” We decided, based on the popular “shark tank” to start an internal challenge, called the “UNLIMITED X Ideas Challenge”. The results were impressive: We received over 150 inspiring ideas. Yesterday the participants of the 24 highest rated submissions presented their ideas in the Elevator Pitches to our jury. The presentations were stunning and we want to thank one more time all participants for their great work! We can’t wait to see the presentations of the best 5 ideas on the Final Pitch in January!
