As New Ventures we love to support "Against the Odds" stories presented and hosted by TEDxNuremberg on 3rd of June in #Nuremburg, #Tafelhalle.

"Against the odds" - achieving success despite facing unfavorable or difficult circumstances. Against the odds stories are stories in which success was only a faint hope in the very beginning. Stories that tell of struggle and setbacks, of perseverance, courage and finally dreams which became true. Whether it's a remarkable leader who gets people to commit to their cause or a story about a personal struggle in life. Those are all stories whose outcome is uncertain, which need courage to achieve something.

Our work New Ventures has a lot to do with the somehow "unknown", we need to step out and look for the #opportunities - against all odds which may keep us from thinking and doing the right things. 💪

We are still very enthralled by the excellent Inside Summit taken place in Munich last week!

An event originally made for the minds of the #furniture & #kitchen industry but what has been offered was way more than a simple event for that industry. It has been a dense and inspiring day covering everything from socio-political landscape, the economic outlook, consumer sentiment, market place development, meaning of brand as well as opportunities in ecommerce and social media. The need to stay nimble, to look ahead with confidence and to constantly push for change and transformation continues to be the recipe for persevering in challenging times

Learning 📢: The #Home & #Living market is confronted with many risks. New business models appear, also with a close connection to #ecommerce. Ankorstore is for instance a great example for new business models within this branch. It has been founded by a few French industry veterans as an online #B2B platform that connects brands with retailers across the continent. What it offers? A wide range of brands, greater flexibility for retailers, and worry-free processes for brands and retailers alike.

As within New Ventures we are driving innovation within the area of "Better Living", the topic of Home & Living and the network & scene behind is very relevant to us.

Finally - #Gründerinnenakademie 2023 just finished! It has been an amazing 4-days-event with students from Universität Mannheim, Universität Passau & Universität Bayreuth. So much #power #passion #entrepreneurial #spirit.

With a variety of workshops & mentorship opportunities, the Gründerinnenakademie is a one-stop-shop event for female students thinking about starting their own business. All students got the opportunity to work on their ideas, create #mockups and have been coached on how to pitch their idea. 🏆

We are very happy that we were able to support this inspiring & important format!

Yes, women are still underrepresented within the world of entrepreneurs, doesn´t matter if speaking about Solo Entrepreneurship of Corporate Entrepreneurship. Less than 20% of all start-ups are founded by women. Despite the progress we've made towards equality, women still face significant barriers in the entrepreneurial world. From lack of funding and mentorship opportunities to biases and stereotypes, female founders have to work twice as hard to make their mark.

But: World is changing. 🌍

Wonderful to be able to speak to more than 20 strong young (future) #female #founders at the yesterday´s Gründerinnenakademie hosted by Entrepreneurship & Innovation Uni Bayreuth and New Ventures. 👩 👱‍♀️

“What do you wanna become once you are ready with your studies? Hej, I would like to become a founder. Crystal clear!”

A very interesting thing: Especially the topic of #social #entrepreneurship seems to be something were female founders are very enthusiastic about! As we all know, social entrepreneurship is all about using #business #models to solve social or environmental problems, and who better to tackle these issues than women? Women somehow have a unique perspective and approach to problem-solving, which is why we need more female entrepreneurs leading the charge. By bringing their #diverse experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives to the table, they can create sustainable solutions that benefit everyone.

By the way - that simply fits perfectly to our New Ventures #vision & #purpose: We.Enhance.Lives.

So, let's step up and support our female founders. Let's invest in their ideas, mentor them, and create a community where they can thrive. Let's break down the barriers and create a level playing field where all entrepreneurs, regardless of gender, have the opportunity to succeed!
