As of the last 3 months we were participating as coporate partner within the #DT4AI program of the Universität St.Gallen (HSG), and just attended the final presentations there. 🙌

It was just exciting to see what all the participants developed in this relatively short time, from research to ideation to prototyping, and to accompany it all with several rounds of feedback. 😍

Congratulations to the team of Sarah Maier, Jasmine Scherrer, Lukas Bischofberger, Pascal Dahinden, Björn Thieme and Tim Schürmann who were clearly the stars of the show. 🎖

Today’s TEDxNuremberg event turned out into something outstanding! Inspiring speakers, great community and we really take off our hat to the entire TEDxNuremberg team! It is impressive to see what you created basically in your free time as a non-profit organization!

📢 Our main takeaway for today...📢

We are all choice architects! We all make so many decisions on auto pilot. Think about: did you ever ate something just because it stood directly in front of you? Like nuts in the bar even if you don‘t really like them and you even less like to imagine who else put his hand in the shell before?✌️😊Our choices are triggered by the maturity of our environment. By shaping the environment, also known as the choice architecture, one can influence the likelihood that one option is chosen over another by individuals.

So as an organization we could contribute a lot through positive nudging to create a more healthy, friendly & good environment. 💜 Nudge for good not only for net sales & profit! Because when people thrive, systems thrive! And when systems thrive, companies thrive!

Positive nudging in an organization can happen via corporate influencers whereas leadership and empowerment also play an important part. Sometimes also small things and changes create big impact! So let‘s nudge in a positive way to achieve our goals!🎯

New Ventures being part of the today’s BayStartUP event in our homebase Munich! A networking event organized by the Bavarian ministry of states for start-ups, potential investors & the industry.

💡 The idea: Entrepreneurs from all sectors and in every start-up phase will find support - from financing and funding to advice and coaching to regional contacts.

💪 Its strength: the large network of medium-sized businesses, corporations, science and the start-up scene.

Actually it has been amazing, speaking to entrepreneurs & founders on the ground. Besides good networking and conversations, we got in touch with interesting start-ups like hey circle GmbH, Mozaik or BatchOne and credium which may be a benefit for our future (venture) activities.

What can we learn from the Startup-Nation Israel?

This was the topic of the "Meet&Eat" organized by Einstein1 Digitales Gründerzentrum yesterday in Hof where our Head of Innovation & Tech Venturing Ansgar Niehoff presented a talk about The Startup-Nation and its High Tech Startup Ecosystem. No ecosystem attracts more #VC per capita than Israel and Israel boasts the hightest density of #unicorns worldwide.

Two weeks ago REHAU and REHAU New Ventures supported a student excursion of Hochschule Hof, University of Applied Sciences to the Startup-Nation Israel - an unforgettable experience getting immersed into one of the most exciting Startup & Innovation Hotspots in the world.

After the Keynote by Ansgar Niehoff, the students shared their highlights of the trip and the inspiring event was concluded with a panel discussion and encouraged the over 60 participants to mingle with good food and drinks.

"The openness and friendship of Israeli students made one encounter to the best experiences in my life."

"I could imagine to emigrate to Israel to be able to be part of this vibrant ecosystem with its informal go-getter mentality."

These were only few of the inspring statements by the participants of the Israel excursion.

As REHAU and REHAU New Ventures we are very excited to support such a meaningful local initiative to foster entrepreneurship and learn from other diverse cultures and ecosystems. Learning from each other and combining the best of different worlds will be key for sustainable innovations.
