Three inspiring days at digitalBAU 2023 in Munich are over!👷‍♂️ 🚧 🏗 👷‍♀️

"Digital construction" is one of our two search fields in which we innovate at REHAU New Ventures. We focus on solving problems in industries that we understand very well, so our search fields are adjacent to the core of REHAU. The main goal that our colleague Michael Lehmann and his team are working on as part of "Digital Construction" is to increase efficiency in the construction industry through the power of digital solutions. To streamline our efforts, we are establishing new business areas centred around Pre-Fabrication, Material Flow, Digital Planning and Digital Collaboration.

Within the next days we will show you some impressions from the digitalBAU conference. We spoke to start ups about their innovation and we interviewed our New Ventures colleagues Matthias Hille, Ansgar Niehoff and Michael Lehmann who presented learnings from the New Ventures Venture Buiding story in panels & classrooms. We also asked our venture euerzuhause and explained how matchmaking is going to revolutionise the classical way of finding your dreamhouse....

Lg Updates on the Venture Board REHAU New Ventures! 🎉

After having introduced our Venture Board Members Viola Theresa Stadler Stadler and Anil Sethi, we would now like to welcome our third and therefore final member, Natalie Lorberboym Mano.

We are very pleased that Natalie has recently joined our Venture Board and that we have gained additional (female) power. 💪

As a Tech lover and “Global Women in Tech“ Member, Natalie is a highly inspiring role-model when it comes to Women in Tech & the VC scene. In fact, the “Global Women in Tech” network is the world’s largest global community for women in venture capital to connect, collaborate, and create opportunities.

In her current role at PepsiCo in TelAviv, Natalie is leading partnerships with cutting-edge startups worldwide to solve business goals and needs. Working alongside its various business units, Natalie’s focus is on rapidly and seamlessly landing and scaling startups within PepsiCo. As a former Venture Capitalist, high-tech and M&A lawyer, holding extensive experience working with startups, Natalie is highly passionate about developing and leading cross-functional visionary projects as well as building and fostering long-term partnerships.

Today we were invited to the community event of neosfer and Infront Consulting & Management GmbH about corporate venturing, corporate venture capital and innovation. The event was hosted in the neosfer office in the middle of the finance centre in Frankfurt. From New Ventures our Head of Venture Building & Scaling Matthias Hille joined the community. Besides interesting and detailed individual talks there were fruitful talks about innovation and venturing in highly regulated industries like finance and insurance, we got a sneak peak into the 2023 edition of Infronts and Capital study about corporate innovation and venture units by Lea-Theresa Münch and we listened to neosfer by Fabian Demuth how to "just do it" within innovation.
It was a nice and intense afternoon with great personal talks, thanks for hosting us Infront Consulting & Management GmbH and neosfer, very nice office space!

💡 How smart is ChatGPT? 💡

ChatGPT, a language model developed by OpenAI, has become incredibly popular due to its ability to generate human-like responses in a wide range of circumstances. It has become already part of our daily life when creating content, writing essays, getting inspiration for something...

But how to measure how smart it really is?

In fact, the AI has become so smart that students are using it to do their homework. To benchmark the capabilities of ChatGPT, OpenAI simulated test runs of various professional and academic exams. Also they were comparing ChatGPT 3.5 and 4.0. and the gap between both is huge!

The result is amazing! 💯

⚡But: It seems like the AI could use some extra tuition in Englisch Literature & Competitive Programming. 📜

ChatGPT 3.5 really had a kind of limiting factor as of missing access to the internet and the fact that it has been trained on data up to June 2021. Probably that is the most relevant factor why ChatGPT 4.0 has created so much better results.
