Off to the next round: Venture Board REHAU New Ventures!

Last week we kicked off our series to introduce our Venture Board members.
As our 2nd Venture Board member we would therefore like to introduce Anil Sethi. Anil is a top serial entrepreneur, author and teacher. He founded his first company Flisom in 2005, as a spinoff of the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zürich), Zurich. He has been the CEO/CFO till 2012, and raised over CHF 100m over multiple rounds of funding, before stepping down and transitioning to the board. The company raised additional rounds before a strategic sale. He also co-​founded a number of other technology start-ups including Scrona Ltd. and InstaHeat and advised over 800 startups over the past decade.

By the way, Anil published the book “From Science to Startup: The Inside Track of Technology Entrepreneurship". It is a kind of must-read for scientists and academicians who want to see their idea turn into a product and change the market.

With Anil´s extensive experience in fundraising and building technology-start-ups over years, Anil is therefore a perfect match for our Venture Board. Anil by the way doesn´t get tired to remind us that technology is the change maker and finally makes the difference!

Welcome REHAU New Ventures Venture Board! 🎉

A few weeks ago, we kicked off our Venture Board at New Ventures. Our Venture Board is seen as sparring partner. It is supporting our ventures with advice on business model, funding, set-up and scaling options.

We strongly believe in the power of an outside-in-perspective. We are therefore very happy that we were able to attract a diverse, experienced and inspiring board from the VC, start-up and innovation network for our REHAU New Ventures journey. The expertise and objective perspective of our Venture Board combined with the internal competencies of REHAU New Ventures is a real added value for us! 💪

Within the next weeks we will step by step introduce you to all of our three Venture Board members.

Today, starting with our first board member 👉 Viola Theresa Stadler.
Viola brings to our Venture Board team great experience in Business Development & Innovation Management in manufacturing companies as well as a deep knowledge & network among strategic partnerships, investments, and portfolio management. As Head of Platform at Project A, one of the biggest VCs in Europe, Viola is leveraging the company's best-in-class network and strategic partnerships in a structured way. Before joining Project A, Viola held various positions at Viessmann Group, amongst others she was the Head of Business Development & Portfolio Management for the Value Added Service unit and supported building up the venture-building activities of the group. Before that, she has been an Investment Analyst at the corporate Venture Capital firm Allianz X in Munich. Originally born in Bavaria, spending time in different European locations, Viola is finally located in Berlin now.

Viola, so great to have you on board! We are excited to collaborate with you and to get your expertise and objective eye on our venture activities. We understood that working with you means also to take care of all our sweets in the office as they could somehow disappear very quickly by mistake! Let´s see if we can handle this! 😊

To take advantage of the networking effect in Berlin and to benefit from the international talent pool, we are happy to announce that we now just registered New Ventures at betahaus, a co-working space in #Kreuzberg. 🏢 👩‍💻

On the one hand, registering in a co-working space is a very flexible and streamlined way for us to be present in a city, without any obligations & high costs. On the other hand, it is just great to become part of the Betahaus community & network. This is it, what makes Betahaus a bit unique, at least to us. It seems to be much more than an anonymous community office, you can literally feel and smell the strong community spirit that exists. 💪

In fact, we've had a handful of New Ventures colleagues based in Berlin for some time now. It's great that with our few seats we finally have a place to go for us and our partners in Berlin!

Fresh from the press! 📰 News from one of our Ventures!

Our #ecommerce venture is now live with the very first REHAU end-consumer online shop for REHAU garden products! Another important milestone on the REHAU Group's B2C journey.

So far, our E-commerce venture has focused on selling REHAU products exclusively on #Amazon, but now it's time for their own shop presence. The gardening season has just started, so we are ready just in time!

We are so grateful to present the #REHAU brand as New Ventures and thus contribute to bringing our REHAU products closer to the end-consumer. The REHAU Garden Shop is a perfect example of the strength that comes when the superpower of our REHAU Business Units & New Ventures meet together. In this case, our business units contribute with the products (which is so essential), the technical product experience and the product management skills! New Ventures brings the expertise to target the end-consumer with all relevant facets: Brand positioning, content, performance marketing, online sales competency and finally B2C logistics & customer support.

P.S. What we love most is that we can offer a range of REHAU branded #sustainable garden irrigation products. #Water is the most important commodity we have and it is so important to find effective ways to use it for garden irrigation.
